Location
The option is found by clicking: Options (the gear icon on the level select screen) > Settings (the spanner icon in the navigation bar) > Information (i button) > Graphics
Frame Rate (FPS)
This affects the maximum frame rate your game will run at. A higher frame rate will result in a smoother looking game experience. Please note that the game will only run at the frame rate that your device is capable of, and gameplay may appear smoother at a constant 30 frames per second, than at a variable 30-60 FPS.
Please note that the game will change to the 30 FPS cap if you have low battery level or power saving mode enabled.
If you have an older device (2016 or older), we would recommend you try the game first on 30 FPS, then experiment on 60 FPS later.
Graphics Quality
This will determine the quality of the characters and environment in the game. While the core gameplay may look similar, the high graphics quality setting will smooth out some edges and corners and give gameplay a more “HD” look and feel.
Please note that some graphics settings are hardware based, and two different devices running on the same settings may display the game slightly differently.
If you have an older device (2016 or older), we would recommend you try the game first on low settings, then experiment on high settings later.
Troubleshooting
If your game is not playable on any settings with the “No troubleshooting” option selected, then try the game on other troubleshooting options (such as “Force Open GL ES 2”), and this may help work around performance, stability or rendering issues. Regardless if this helps or not, please contact us to let us know, as we want all players to enjoy that game without adjusting the settings.
Other Help
If your game will not run at all after changing the graphics settings, you can try running the game in safe mode to change the graphics settings back.
To run the game in safe mode, simply launch then immediately shut down the game three times consecutively.
